Do not use if you are moving in the Nashville area

Posted by melbelindy on 4/14/2009

I moved in early April out of the Nashville area and used All My Sons Moving. I had used them on a previous move to the Nashville area about 2 years ago and couldn't be happier. They were very professional and moved me in a timely manner. Too bad you can't say the same for the Nashville base. When the movers showed up they were late and then they proceded to make personal calls and talk about their weekend. It took them 3 hours to load a 1 bedroom apt that was completely packed and ready to go. Then when they finally arrived at the destination my boyfriend had to help them unload the truck because they were taking so long and still talking on the phone. When you are paying someone $150 an hour to move your stuff you would assume they could do the job without all the personnal calls. When I called the managment they said there was nothing they could do and all the personnal phone calls were actually phone calls from dispatch. Well may be they were if the movers tell dispatch they love them when they get off the phone. Well there is something I can do and that is tell everyone not to use this moving service. They are very unprofessional and take advantage of you through their estimates. I would suggest finding someone else.

Worst ever

Please go to Better Bussiness Bureau first and check them out, I wish I did. The company misquoted me, left one whole room still filled with furniture which my husband had to move, left a door off the hinge, left refrigerated food out in the hot summer sun. Destroyed more than one piece of furniture and a expensive coffee maker. That is just some of the diasters. My friend was also moved with them and had the same experience. Please check them out first. In my opinion they write a lot of their own reviews.

excellent movers

I feel like all of these reviews are speaking about another moving company. I had a fairly large move, 4,500 sq foot house to Florida and I have never had such a great experience with a moving company. The movers were on time, polite, and careful. They helped us to pack everything and the price was exactly what we were quoted! Great experience I would recommend them to everyone!

Great Experience

I recently moved from Hermitage to Brentwood and am SO happy I chose ALL MY SONS. They send an estimator out to my house ahead of time, who was extremely courteous (he even took off his shoes before he came in!) and helpful in determining how much my move would cost. His estimate was very accurate and the crew they sent were both nice and VERY careful and efficient. I have had horrible moving experiences before but am recommending anybody try ALL MY SONS. All you have to do is have an estimator come out beforehand to see what I'm talking about. Thanks again guys!

Managers try to rip you off, but the actual movers were nice

We needed one piece of heavy furniture moved up into a different area of our house. We went with All my Sons because they had the cheapest hourly rate, and the job would only take an hour MAX. The movers came, and moved the dresser and it literally took them FIVE minutes to get it upstairs and where we wanted it- We agreed beforehand to pay 98.00 for the hour, and when we went to pay they said we owed 178.00!!!! Even though we had called the previous DAY and agreed upon the 98 bucks! We then called the manager who tried to charge us for an HOUR'S worth of driving, (before they even showed up, in my book I am not paying for any job before it even starts!) and the headquarters is only 15 minutes away!! Even the guys who were moving our stuff couldn't believe how ridiculous the manager was being! After we confronted the manager about this supposed hour's worth of driving, he agreed not to charge us immediately ( I guess he hoped we were new to the area so he could rip us off and realized he couldn't after he figured out we knew where he was). Overall, the MOVING part of the experience was fine and the guys who did it were very nice but the managers tried to rip us off. BEWARE ANYONE NEW TO THE AREA DON'T LET THEM OVER CHARGE YOU!
